Sherrye is a dedicated and forceful voice for our county's older residents.
Sherrye is the North Carolina Senior Tar Heels representative from Madison County.
Sherrye is a member of the DSS Board of Madison County.
Sherrye is a member of the Land of Sky Executive Committee.
Sherrye is dedicated to helping seniors, working hard for hard working folks, and setting the stage for a better future for young folks.
Sherrye is strong in her faith and is committed to being led by the teachings of Jesus Christ and biblical principals. ​
Madison County will operate two early voting sites during Early Voting starting on February 12th. Those two sites will be at Beech Glen Community Center and the campus of A B Tech in Marshall. The sites will be open all days of Early Voting except for Sunday. The hours will be 8AM until 7:30Pm each weekday and 8AM until 3PM on each of the Saturdays.
Voter Dates and Deadlines
Here are voter dates and deadlines for the 2026 primary election in North Carolina:

Jan. 12, 2026: County boards of elections begin mailing absentee ballots to eligible voters who submitted an absentee ballot request form.

Feb. 6, 2026: Voter registration deadline (5 p.m.).*

Feb. 12, 2026: In-person early voting begins.

Feb. 17, 2026: Absentee ballot request deadline (5 p.m.).*

Feb. 28, 2026: In-person early voting ends (3 p.m.).

March 3, 2026: Primary Election Day.

March 3, 2026: Absentee ballot return deadline (7:30 p.m.).*
